PETG is a versatile filament combining the strength and durability associated with ABS with printing characteristics closer to PLA. It is slightly flexible, helping parts withstand mechanical stress without being as brittle as more rigid materials.

Its resistance to moisture and many chemicals makes PETG suitable for functional parts, housings, brackets, containers, prototypes and outdoor applications. It is a practical general-purpose material when greater durability than standard PLA is required without moving to more demanding engineering filaments.
