1. Seller and contact details

These terms govern purchases of goods from SIA Strix Studios, registration number 40103735793 (“the Seller”, “we” or “us”), by the customer (“you”). These terms form part of the agreement between the Seller and the customer purchasing the goods.

Registered address: Rīga, Vecmīlgrāvja 1. līnija 35–39, LV-1015, Latvia.
Business premises: Viskalu 36A, Rīga, LV-1006, Latvia.
Telephone: +371 22 43 50 75.
Email for orders, delivery, returns, refunds and complaints: [email protected].

Local pickup is not available. Goods cannot be collected from our registered address or business premises. All orders are delivered using third-party delivery providers.

2. Orders and prices

The goods, quantities, prices and delivery charges applicable to your purchase are specified at checkout or in our written offer. The total payable, including applicable taxes and delivery charges, will be provided before you commit to the purchase.

For orders arranged by email, the goods, payment terms and delivery arrangements must be agreed in writing.

If goods become unavailable or an agreed delivery date cannot be met, we will contact you to agree on an alternative or arrange cancellation and reimbursement where applicable.

3. Payments

We accept:

  • Bank transfers against an invoice, payable to our SEB bank account using the details and payment reference stated on the invoice.
  • Card payments processed through Stripe.

Cash payments are not accepted.

Invoice payments must be made by the deadline stated on the invoice. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, goods are dispatched after payment has been received.

4. Shipping and delivery

Standard delivery is currently available within Latvia only. Delivery to other European Union countries may be arranged individually by contacting [email protected] before placing an order. Availability, delivery charges and estimated times will be confirmed in writing.

We use third-party delivery providers, such as DPD and Omniva. Available services and charges are shown at checkout or agreed by email. Local pickup from our premises is not available.

For goods in stock, dispatch starts from one working day after receipt of payment. This is a dispatch estimate, not a delivery guarantee. The applicable dispatch estimate will be stated at checkout or confirmed with your order.

For goods that are out of stock, availability and dispatch times are agreed individually before the order is finalised. Working days exclude Saturdays, Sundays and Latvian public holidays.

You are responsible for providing accurate recipient details, delivery address or parcel-locker selection, email address and telephone number. You must monitor delivery notifications and collect the parcel within the carrier’s stated collection period.

If incorrect information or failure to collect a parcel causes its return, we will contact you about the next steps. Any charge for return transport or redelivery must be reasonable, legally permitted and explained to you. Failure to collect a parcel does not by itself constitute a withdrawal notice.

For consumer purchases, responsibility for loss or damage normally remains with us until you, or a person you nominate other than the carrier, physically receives the goods. Your statutory rights concerning delayed, lost or damaged deliveries remain unaffected.

5. Business purchases and VAT

Business-to-business purchases and requests for invoices without Latvian VAT are currently handled by email at [email protected].

Please provide your company name, registration number, registered address, VAT number where applicable, and delivery destination.

A VAT number does not automatically entitle an order to VAT-free treatment. We apply a zero rate, exemption or other VAT treatment only where the transaction meets the relevant legal requirements and the required supporting information is available. The applicable treatment will be confirmed before payment.

The statutory consumer withdrawal rights described below apply to individuals buying outside their trade, business or profession. Business returns are subject to separately agreed terms and applicable law.

6. Consumer withdrawal and returns

For distance purchases, consumers generally have 14 calendar days from receiving the goods to withdraw without giving a reason.

Notify us before the withdrawal deadline by sending a clear statement of your decision to withdraw to [email protected]. Please include your name, order number and the goods concerned.

We will provide return instructions. Our approval is not required to exercise your statutory withdrawal right.

Send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notifying us. You bear the direct return cost where this was disclosed before purchase, unless we agree otherwise. This does not apply to costs we must bear for defective or incorrectly supplied goods.

7. Condition of returned goods

You may inspect goods as reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, as you would in a shop.

Return supplied accessories and package the goods securely, preferably using the original packaging.

Handling beyond reasonable inspection may result in a deduction reflecting the actual reduction in value, where permitted by law. We will explain any deduction. Opening packaging or inspecting the goods does not automatically remove your withdrawal right.

This does not affect your rights concerning goods that were defective or damaged when supplied.

8. Refunds

Following a valid withdrawal, we will refund the relevant payments, including standard outbound delivery costs. Additional costs for a more expensive delivery option you selected are excluded.

Refunds are due without undue delay and within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice. Unless we offer to collect the goods, we may withhold reimbursement until we receive them back or you provide evidence of dispatch, whichever occurs first.

Refunds use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, without a reimbursement fee. Any lawful deduction for diminished value will be explained.

9. Defective or incorrect goods

If goods are defective, damaged on arrival or incorrect, contact [email protected] with your order number and a description of the problem. Photographs may help us assess it.

These claims are separate from the 14-day withdrawal right. Consumers retain their statutory rights to repair, replacement, a price reduction or termination and reimbursement, depending on the circumstances. We bear the necessary costs of remedies for which we are legally responsible.

10. Personal information and delivery providers

We process information necessary to administer orders, receive payments, arrange delivery, handle returns and meet legal obligations.

For delivery, we share necessary recipient and shipment information with the selected carrier, such as DPD or Omniva. This may include your name, delivery address or parcel-locker location, telephone number, email address and shipment details.

Payment providers receive information necessary to process payments and perform their required security checks. Further details about personal-data processing, retention and your rights are provided in our Privacy Policy.

11. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device that help a website function and remember information.

Strictly necessary cookies may be used for functions such as the shopping basket, checkout, security and remembering cookie choices. These do not require consent where the legal exemption applies.

If we use optional analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies, they will be enabled only after your consent. You may reject them and later withdraw consent as easily as you gave it, through the website’s cookie settings. Refusing optional cookies does not prevent purchases.

You can also delete or block cookies through your browser, although blocking necessary cookies may affect shopping functions. Information about the cookies actually used, their purposes, providers and retention periods is provided in the website’s cookie settings.

12. Complaints and disputes

Send complaints to [email protected], including your order reference, a description of the issue and the resolution requested.

We will provide a reasoned response within the applicable statutory deadline, normally 15 working days.

If a consumer dispute cannot be resolved directly, you may seek assistance from the Latvian Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC) and, where applicable, the Consumer Dispute Resolution Commission. You retain the right to seek a remedy before a competent court.

13. Legal compliance, sanctions and anti-money laundering

We comply with sanctions applicable in Latvia, including relevant EU, UN and Latvian national sanctions. We will not fulfil an order where doing so would breach applicable restrictions.

Where legally required, we or our payment providers may request information necessary to verify a customer, payment or transaction for sanctions compliance, fraud prevention or applicable anti-money-laundering requirements.

An order or payment may be delayed, refused or suspended where required by law or while legally necessary checks are completed. Any cancellation, reimbursement, restriction on funds or disclosure to authorities will be handled in accordance with applicable law. These provisions do not create a general right to retain customer payments.

14. Governing law

These terms and purchases are governed by Latvian law, including the Consumer Rights Protection Law and Cabinet Regulation No. 255 on distance contracts, together with applicable EU law.

Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer protections, including protections of another country that apply under the relevant conflict-of-law rules.
