ASA filament for durable parts intended for outdoor use and prolonged exposure to sunlight. Its UV resistance, impact resistance and good dimensional stability make it particularly suitable for housings, brackets, fixtures, prototypes and other functional components. Printed parts have a smooth, matte surface and retain their colour well over time.
ASA is a durable engineering filament particularly well suited to parts used outdoors. Its resistance to UV exposure helps printed components retain their colour and properties in sunlight, making it a good choice for exterior housings, brackets, fixtures, prototypes and other functional parts.
The material combines impact resistance with good dimensional accuracy and produces a smooth, matte surface. Compared with conventional ABS, ASA is particularly useful where weather and UV resistance are important.
For reliable printing, a heated bed and enclosed printer are recommended, especially for larger parts. The recommended nozzle temperature is 220-250 C and the heated bed temperature is 95-110 C.
The filament has a diameter of 1.75 mm with a stated tolerance of +-0.03 mm and is supplied on a 1 kg spool.
Spool diameter is 195mm, hole size 75mm.
